Why we built this
We are parents. For a long time, we were always the last to know.
The bug had already gone round before we heard of it.
Then you are up at 3am with a sick child, and someone says, oh yes, half the room had that.
So we made a small thing. A website that sends email.
It is a bit like a newsletter you do not want to receive. The email tells you a bug is going round near you. Nobody is happy to get that. But if it has to come, at least you knew first.
This is not really an app you use. It is something parents quietly build for each other. You report what your child has, and one day they report back for you.
It works only at area level, never a family. We never keep a child’s name, age, address, or full postcode. Nothing shows until at least 3 different families report the same thing, so no child is ever singled out.
The honest part: a quiet area stays blank. The picture is only as good as how many of us take part.
Reporting is free. No account. About three taps. Every report helps the next family at the gate.
We hope the email never lands. But when it does, at least you knew.
Report an illness. Free, no account.
